Energy Resources Of Australia Ltd. (ERA.AU) on Wednesday upgraded its annual production guidance after progressively restarting its processing operations following heavy rains.

The uranium miner said it expects to produce 2,600 metric tons of uranium oxide in 2011, up from previous guidance of 2,400 tons.

It only produced 83 tons in the second quarter, down 90% on the previous year, bringing first half production to 601 tons, down 65%.

The company, which is 68%-owned by Rio Tinto Ltd. (RIO.AU), was in January forced to suspend production at its Ranger mine in Australia's Northern Territory following a much worse than average wet season.

It began restarting operations on June 14.
