ERG SpA (ERG.MI), Italy's biggest independent refinery by capacity, will shut its Isab Sud plant for planned maintenance in the first quarter of 2011, a spokeswoman for the company said Tuesday.

The Isab Sud Plant processes 100,000 barrels of oil per day. The spokeswoman did not specify the exact start date or the length of the turnaround.
