Dollar Steady Ahead Of U.S. Jobless Claims, Housing Starts

The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended August 11 and
housing starts for July are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of
these data, the greenback held steady against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 1.1372 against the euro, 1.2703 against
the pound, 0.9934 against the franc and 110.82 against the yen as
of 8:25 am ET.
