US Dollar Slips To 2-day Low Versus South African Rand

The US dollar traded lower further against the South African
rand during New York afternoon deals on Wednesday. The greenback
slipped to a 2-day low of 7.2150 versus the rand at around 1:45 pm
ET from previous session's high of 7.2963.
South Africa's manufacturing output increased at slower pace in
July.
Manufacturing production increased 7.5% on an annual basis in
July, but slower than a 9.3% growth in the previous month, a report
by the Statistics South Africa showed today. Production increased
for the eighth successive month. Economists' had expected an
increase of 6%.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the physical volume of
manufacturing production index rose 0.7% month-on-month in July,
compared to a 0.4% rise expected by economists'. In the May to July
period, manufacturing output increased 1.5% compared to the
previous three months.
