There's no doubt that some things are best left in the past.
Leisure suits and leg warmers, anyone? But there are a few
exceptions, like the much-loved and missed Teriyaki Bowl from Jack
in the Box restaurants, which today makes a triumphant return to
menu boards in most of the quick-serve chain's restaurants in the
Western U.S. Introduced in 1993, Jack's original Teriyaki Bowl was
a hit with many guests. But due to changing tastes, it was removed
from the menu in 2003 much to the chagrin of its fans. "We've had
plenty of products come and go over the years, but few made an
impression like the Teriyaki Bowl," said Teka O'Rourke, director of
menu marketing and promotions. "We've had lots of requests to bring
it back, so we did, and it tastes just as great as the original."
Jack's new Teriyaki Bowls feature steamed white rice, broccoli
florets and carrots with a choice of either all-white-meat chicken
or sirloin steak topped with a tasty teriyaki sauce served in a
sealed bowl that's easy to pick up and transport while on the go.
The Teriyaki Bowls are available for the suggested prices,
excluding tax, of $4.29 for chicken and $4.79 for sirloin steak at
all participating Jack in the Box restaurants. Price may vary by
market/restaurant. Jack in the Box Inc. (NYSE:JBX), based in San
