I.A.M. Local Ratifies New Labor Contract With Maytag's Amana, Iowa,
Facilities NEWTON, Iowa, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Maytag
Corporation (NYSE: MYG) announced today that Local 1526 of the
International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers
(I.A.M.) ratified a new three-year contract covering production and
maintenance employees at Maytag's refrigeration manufacturing
facilities in Amana, Iowa. (Logo:

contract was ratified by members at a meeting today. The previous
contract was set to expire at 12:01 a.m. Sunday. "We are pleased to
have reached this new labor agreement between the I.A.M. Local 1526

part of both parties to address the critical issues impacting our
