PR Newswire (US)
NEW YORK, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XA, Inc., (XA) (OTC BB:
XAIN.OB), a major national event marketing firm that serves many
Fortune 500 companies, reports that it has been selected by GEN ART
and ACURA as the event production agency implementing the creation
and construction of three emerging designers' dynamic installations
for the "The New Garde" 2007 Fashion Show. The fashion
presentations consisting of live-model vignettes will take place on
Friday, February 2nd from 6 p.m. to 8p.m. at the Waterfront in
Manhattan. An after party will immediately follow the event at the
same location from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. As the production company, XA
will assist in the creation, construction and management of all
required elements to implement a highly stylized and integrated
program showcasing the three fashion designers' concepts and
visions. "The New Garde" will feature the fall 2007 collections of
three of the industry's rising stars including Chrishabana, Geren
Ford and FORM. The designers were chosen based on their established
ability to maintain a successful independent fashion label while
retaining a freshness and individuality with the shape and
fabrication of their garments. Gen Art will use the unique format
of "The New Garde" to bring recognition to these three design
talents poised to reach the next level of growth in the women's
wear category. Unlike runway shows, "The New Garde" offers everyone
the privilege of a front row seat as 20 looks, from each designer,
are shown on models over 2 hours. With "The New Garde", Gen Art is
at the forefront of originality in fashion production while
continuing to provide a platform for the growth of independent and
spirited fashion talent. Joe Wagner, CEO of XA, states, "We are
thrilled to have a relationship with Gen Art. We are proud that XA
will be given the opportunity to showcase design logistics and
production capabilities to support the debut of 'The New Garde'
fashion show." Marketers spent an estimated $171 billion in event
marketing in 2005, up 3% from the previous year. In addition, 96%
of marketing executives reported that they use events in their
marketing mix according to PROMO's survey of event marketing
executives. (Source: PROMO Magazine, April 2006) About Gen Art Gen
