VIQ Solutions Inc. (“VIQ” or the “Company”) (TSX Venture
Exchange: VQS and OTC Markets: VQSLF) a global provider of secure,
AI-driven, digital voice and video capture technology and
transcription services, today announced the award of a USD$1.2M
technology contract with the Queensland Department of Justice and
Attorney-General (DJAG) to provide digital capture and management
of official court records.
Upon completion of an extensive review of the current services
for recording and transcription of court and tribunal proceedings,
DJAG decided to explore innovative ideas and new developments in
technology for Queensland’s recording and transcription system. The
need to create a new service delivery model to ensure the quality
and timeliness of court transcripts in Queensland while providing
the best overall value for money was identified.
DJAG selected Spark & Cannon, a VIQ subsidiary, to supply
fixed and portable court recording solutions for several hundred
rooms across multiple jurisdictions in a complex and decentralized
environment in Queensland. The company will conduct a phased
implementation of its CapturePro™ Solution Suite, which
includes:
- CapturePro, a robust and flexible software solution that
captures and manages high-quality, multi-channel recordings of
audio and video testimony
- AccessPoint, a collaborative web portal that gives authorized
users secure, private access to recorded content
“We are honored to be an integral partner to the DJAG service
model, and believe our innovative solutions support their
transformative strategy taking multi-channel digital court
recording to the next level,” said Matthew Fowler, Managing
Director, Spark and Cannon. “This award strengthens our presence in
Brisbane and Queensland and showcases our secure, end-to-end
workflow to increase efficiency, optimize workflow and simplify
access to verbatim records for this prestigious court
customer.”
“The Australian market has been an important part of the VIQ
strategy for many years,” said Susan Sumner, VIQ Chief Operating
Officer. “We are extremely pleased to implement our enhanced
technologies supporting efficient and secure evidentiary content
capture which is paramount for court and tribunal proceedings.”
