Alpha Wastewater Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AWWI), designer and owner of the
patented and award winning Upflow Sludge Blanket Filtration
("USBF") wastewater treatment systems and plants, announced today
it completed the agreement on construction and operation of Alpha's
30 year term BOT (build, operate, transfer) plant to be built at
Chengde High Tech Industrial Park. The Agreement was signed between
Alpha's Chinese partner, China Aviation-AVIC and Alpha's, Beijing
Alpha and guaranteed by Alpha Wastewater Inc.
China Aviation is providing 70% financing and 50% of the equity
with Alpha Beijing providing the remaining 50% equity. Engineering
will be completed in Vancouver, BC, Canada, at Alpha's North
American Licensee's engineering department at ECOfluid Systems Inc.
offices.
Construction will begin immediately on the 50,000 ton/day USBF
plant to service an approximately 150,000 population. The land has
been transferred to the BOT Joint Venture, surveys are complete,
and the soil report is in its final stage.
President Zhu of China Aviation's Construction and Wastewater
Treatment Division pledged expanded financial support for Alpha's
'USBF' wastewater technology in the small and medium plant sector
which is the largest sector of China's wastewater treatment market,
estimated to exceed $25 Billion USD. (See: China Aviation-AVIC Ltd.
Inc.)
Mr. Brian L. Hauff, President/Director of Alpha Wastewater Inc.,
attended the signing ceremony in Beijing to guarantee the
'Cooperative Operation Contract' on behalf of Alpha. Mr. Hauff
expressed Alpha's gratitude and good fortune for the support from
its China partner. China Aviation-AVIC is an internationally
respected company with the power of a Fortune 500 ranking which
will serve Alpha well in China and other regions of the world.
Chengde City is a critically important plant for Alpha as its
'USBF' wastewater technology was chosen above many local and
international wastewater technologies to cool the power plant and
discharge effluent (meeting the highest standards in the world)
into the headwaters for Beijing and Tianjin drinking water, two of
the largest cities in China.
