Bridgestone: To Spend $135 Million To Raise Tire Output At S Carolina Plant

Bridgestone Corp. (5108.TO) said Thursday it will spend $135
million to increase its production of tires at its South Carolina
plant in the U.S.
The Japanese tire maker said the investment will allow the
company to expand production capacity to about 30,000 tires per day
from the current 25,200.
Bridgestone said it plans a new building for the expansion, and
will hire more than 120 workers. About 1,130 people currently work
at the plant.
