Macquarie Group Ltd. (MQG.AU) on Wednesday said its Green
Investment Group Ltd. unit agreed to buy Tradewind Energy Inc.'s
solar and energy storage unit for an undisclosed amount.
Tradewind is a unit of Enel S.p.A.'s (ENEL.MI) Enel Green Power
North America unit.
Macquarie said the acquired business, named Savion LLC, has a
portfolio that includes six gigawatts of solar and energy storage
development projects.
Macquarie said the acquisition, which it expects to complete by
midyear, advances GIG's mission to accelerate the transition to a
greener global economy.
