SGS Buys Brazilian Engineering Consultancy Enger Engenharia

Swiss quality inspection company SGS SA (SGSN.VX) Monday said it
has acquired Brazilian engineering consultancy Enger Engenharia SA
for an undisclosed sum.
MAIN FACTS:
- Enger is a consulting engineering company operating primarily
in the State of Sao Paulo. It serves the infrastructure &
building market.
- Enger performs project supervision and management as well as
technical consultancy for infrastructure, building and industrial
projects in the feasibility, construction and operation phases.
- Founded in 1979 and privately owned, Enger employs 410 staff
and generated revenue in 2012 in excess of BRL 75 million, SGS
said.
- "This acquisition represents a milestone in our industrial
services strategy in South America. With the recent acquisition of
ETSA in Colombia, we are now in a strong position to leverage our
skills in hydraulic plants, oil and gas facilities as well as in
the transport and infrastructure sectors" said Chris Kirk, Chief
Executive of SGS.
