Therma-Med Inc. (PINKSHEETS: THRA) is pleased to provide additional
technical and historical information on its Hindon Copper property
in Ontario, Canada.
The property is made up of three claims comprising 22 Units
totaling 440 ha. The claims cover Lots 3 to 8 of Concession 2 and
Lots 3 to 6 and Lot 8 of Concession 3 of Hindon Township within the
Regional Municipality of Minden Hills approximately 200 kilometers
northeast of Toronto, 20 km north of the town of Minden and 5 km
west of the village of Carnarvon.
The Hindon property appears to contain two significant areas of
copper mineralization. The mineralization appears as disseminated
and stringer chalcopyrite and bornite in gabbroic and anorthositic
rocks. The copper mineralization appears to be hosted in a series
of mafic rocks that could be volcanic or intrusive in origin and
could be related to a broad fold in the rocks.
The copper mineralization on the Hindon Property occurs as
disseminations and minor stringers of chalcopyrite and bornite
within the gabbroic units of the MG section. To date two
significant zones of mineralization have been identified and are
called the West Zone and the East Zone. The West Zone is
approximately 700 m long while the East Zone is 200 m long. The
original sampling from the West Zone included samples from 11 pits
which averaged 2.8% copper while samples from two pits in the East
Zone averaged 1.6% copper. The limited drilling carried out by
Dupal Mines in 1955 identified a shallowly dipping zone of copper
mineralization with the best result averaging 1.2% Cu over 5.3 m.
The geochemical results from previous analysis indicated that
samples with very high copper values ( > 1%) also appeared to
contain anomalous gold, silver, platinum and palladium. While none
of the precious metals were found in economic levels there is a
possibility that they could form "bi-product" values for any
production of copper. The samples which contained high grade copper
mineralization appear to have been collected from pits which were
distributed over a distance of approximately 600 m in a north south
direction.
Based on these favorable results, Therma-Med Inc. is in a good
position to start exploration work to develop the Hindon copper
property. Also, Joshua Suarez has stepped down and Zajays Trujillo
will take over the daily operations.
