Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for 531,560 Ordinary
shares of 10p each of Bespak plc to be admitted to the Official List. The
shares will be issued to the Bespak plc Qualifying Share Ownership Trust in
relation to the exercise of options for 531,560 shares under the Bespak 1986
Savings Related Share Option Scheme.

The shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.

Copies of this announcement will be available for two business days following
the date of this announcement from the Company Announcements Department of the
London Stock Exchange and for fourteen days from the offices of Credit Suisse
