DCC PLC (DCC.LN) said Tuesday that its performance in the third
quarter of fiscal 2020 was in line with expectations and that it
sees opportunities for the continued growth and development of the
business.
The U.K. marketing and support-services said operating profit
for the three months ended Dec. 31 was in line with market
expectations.
The FTSE-100 listed company said its retail and oil unit
performed in line with views and benefited from a good performance
from the division's retail activities.
Its health-care division delivered good like-for-like profit
growth following the disposal of its U.K. generic pharma business
during the first half of the year. The technology division also
recorded growth, except for its U.K. business, which was hit by
"general weakness" in the British technology market.
DCC said it expects to announce its fiscal 2020 results on May
19.
The company didn't provide any profit or revenue figures for the
year. However, pretax profit consensus for fiscal 2020 is 367.5
million pounds ($480.5 million), taken from FactSet and based on
five analysts' forecasts, compared with GBP326.7 million the prior
year. Revenue consensus is GBP15.20 billion, also taken from
FactSet and based on 12 analysts' forecasts, compared with GBP15.23
billion for fiscal 2019.
