Global Invacom Receives Approval for Triple-Feed LNB from Major
U.S. Satellite TV Broadcaster
London / Singapore, 6 September 2017 - Global Invacom Group
Limited ("Global Invacom" or "the Group"), the satellite
communications equipment provider listed on the Singapore Exchange
and the U.K. AIM Market, has received approval from one of its
largest customers, a leading U.S. satellite TV broadcaster (the
"Customer"), to supply a new triple-feed Low Noise Block ("LNB")
product covering the western U.S. region.
Global Invacom secured formal approval from the Customer to
supply the Western Arc Triple ("WA Triple"), which uses Digital
Channel Stacking ("DCSS") technology, on 22 August 2017. The WA
Triple is used within a 16-tuner system, which enables a simpler
installation with less cabling than other systems. Global Invacom
is now one of only two suppliers for this new generation of product
to this customer.
Delivery of the triple-feed LNB will begin in September 2017.
This follows the EA Twin GenII qualification from October 2016,
deliveries of which are currently shipping out to meet strong
demand from the market.
The approval enables Global Invacom to supply DCSS-generation
LNBs to the west U.S. for the first time, marking a major
achievement for the Group and strengthening its position as a
leading supplier of cutting-edge Sat Comms equipment.
The Group has been developing DCSS-generation LNBs since 2014
and expects to deploy the technology across more LNBs, including
those in design and pending approval, for other customers and
territories.
