AIM RELEASE

KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (the Company) (AIM: KDC)
GEM DIAMONDS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (GDA) -
EXTENSION OF OPTION OFFER

The Company has today received notice of variation from GDA in relation to its
off-market takeover bid for the 18,650,000 options (with an exercise price
great than $0.70) over unissued ordinary shares in Kimberley Diamonds (the
Option Offer). The Option Offer has been varied by:

- extending the Option Offer close period to 5.00pm (WST) to 4 December 2007;
and

- extending the new date for giving notice of the status of the conditions of
the Option Offer to 26 November 2007.
