Oriel Resources plc ('the Company') announces that it received notification on
19 March 2004 from Aran Asset Management ('Aran') that it sold 3,400,000
Ordinary Shares on 18 March 2004 and subsequently the Company was notified on 23
March 2004 that Aran sold 200,000 Ordinary Shares leaving it with a notifiable
interest in 5,400,000 Ordinary Shares of 1p each representing approximately
3.36% of the current issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

The Company also announces that it received notification on 23 March 2004 from
Barham Investment Group Limited ('Barham') that on 18 March 2004 it sold
3,000,000 Ordinary Shares. Barham no longer holds a notifiable interest in the
current issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

The Company also announces that it received notification on 19 March 2004 from
Pinnacle Trustees Ltd on behalf of The Pamir Trust ('Pamir') that it sold
3,000,000 Ordinary Shares on 18 March 2004 and subsequently the Company was
notified on 23 March 2004 that Pamir sold 41,000 Ordinary Shares. Pamir no
longer holds a notifiable interest in the current issued ordinary share capital
of the Company.
