Prudential PLC (PRU.LN) said Friday that Anne Richards has
resigned as chief executive of M&G Investments, ahead of the
demerger of the wider M&G Prudential business.
The FTSE 100 insurer said Ms. Richards is resigning as CEO of
M&G Investments to take up a senior leadership role elsewhere
in the financial-services industry. She is also stepping down from
Prudential's board, with both changes effective from Aug.10.
Prudential said in March that it would demerge its U.K. and
European business, M&G Prudential, to focus on higher growth
opportunities in Asia and the U.S. The timing of the split is yet
to be confirmed.
The company said on Thursday that Clare Bousfield, currently CEO
of the Prudential UK business, will become chief financial officer
of M&G Prudential.
John Foley, CEO of M&G Prudential, will take on additional
responsibilities as the chief executive of the key regulated
entities of M&G and Prudential UK.
