ConocoPhillips (COP) will shut an amine unit at its Borger, Texas, refinery for planned maintenance on Oct. 9-24. The Wilmington, Calif., plant discovered a 1 barrel petroleum spill ina containment area from an underground pipe.

Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) said that a gulfining unit at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery experienced a snag, but it did noAlon USA Energy Inc. (ALJ) t affect operations. The company also said it will restart a tank in the east plant of its Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery.

Alon USA Energy Inc. (ALJ) Thursday said that its Big Spring, Texas, refinery was adding a new ultra low sulfur gasoline unit as planned.

Citgo Petroleum Corp. reported Thursday that two gasoline-making units experienced a brief snag when the regnerator temperature dropped.
