WHAT:
The top two youth volunteers of 2015 from
each state and Washington, D.C. will gather for the 20th annual
Prudential Spirit of Community State Awards Ceremony. From 6-7
p.m., they will hear from Prudential Financial Chairman and CEO
John Strangfeld, “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts and
five past honorees who have remained involved in service. Later,
each 2015 honoree will be presented with a $1,000 award. Youth
volunteers from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Ireland, India and
China will also be honored.

Schools

WHAT:
The State Honoreeswill present donated
books to the schools and conduct small group reading sessions with
the students.

WHAT:
John Kelly, deputy chief of staff at the
Corporation for National and Community Service, and Michael Yudin,
senior advisor to the secretary for the U.S. Department of
Education, will help announce the nation’s top 10 youth volunteers
of 2015. The 10 National Honorees will be presented with personal
awards of $5,000, gold medallions, crystal trophies, and $5,000
Prudential Foundation grants for charitable organizations of their
choice.
