Saras SpA (SRS.MI) said Friday it will carry out most of its 2010 scheduled maintenance work at its 300,000-barrels-a-day Sarroch refinery in March and April.

Italy's second-biggest independent refiner by capacity said it expected to conduct a much lighter maintenance program this year following a heavy schedule of maintenance and upgrading in 2009.

Work will include ordinary clean-up of various units including hydrocracking and visbreaking units, the company said during a conference call presentation for its 2009 results.
