Extending early morning session's downtrend, the Canadian currency declined further against major currencies during New York mid-day deals on Monday. Currently, the loonie is trading near new multi-month lows of 1.8880 against the British pound and 1.6005 versus the euro, compared to last week's closing values of 1.8730 and 1.5836, respectively.

Against the US dollar and the Japanese yen, the Canadian dollar also traded lower and as of now worth fresh multi-week lows of 1.1561 and 83.06, respectively.
