Webinars will feature stories from people with lived experience
of mental health and substance use challenges and suicide attempts,
and provide information and resources to help increase awareness
about:
- Suicide prevention and the importance of speaking up when
individuals need help for themselves or someone else
- Recovery from mental health and substance use conditions, and
anything contributing to suicidal thoughts

series of virtual events in support of Suicide Prevention Awareness
Month and Recovery Month in September.

Suicide claimed the lives of almost 46,000 people in the United
States in 2020.1 It is the second leading cause of death for
children aged 10–14 and adults aged 35–44, and the third leading
cause of death for young people aged 15–24.1

Wednesday, September 14, 2022, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET, Join

I would tell my younger self: Conversations about hope, recovery

NCPS, CRPS, national senior director of recovery and resiliency
