JPMorgan Chase & Co. is moving a senior technology-focused
investment banker from New York to Hong Kong, adding to its team
covering Asia's fast-growing tech sector.
Andrew Verdasca will relocate to Hong Kong to become JPMorgan's
head of technology, media and telecommunications for East Asia,
according to an internal announcement seen Thursday by The Wall
Street Journal, and confirmed by a spokesperson. Mr. Verdasca is a
14-year veteran of the bank, the note said.
A second announcement said Mr. Verdasca would be part of the
bank's regional TMT leadership team, alongside Michelle Chen and
Crystal Zhu in China, and Ravi Shankar in India. That message was
signed by Mark Fiteny, JPMorgan's head of TMT and new-economy
investment banking for the Asia Pacific region.
