JPMorgan Chase & Co. on Tuesday said it has acquired college
financial-planning platform Frank for an undisclosed amount.
The New York bank said Frank, which offers a streamlined federal
financial-aid application process and a marketplace of discounted
college-level courses for transferable credit, currently serves
more than 5 million students at more than 6,000 higher-education
institutions across the U.S.
JPMorgan said Frank's founder and chief executive, Charlie
Javice, will continue to lead the brand. Ms. Javice will also join
JPMorgan as head of student solutions on its digital products
team.
