("Cal Nano") is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr.
C.C. (Cliff) Bampton to the Board of
Directors of Cal Nano.
Since the completion of his PhD in Metallurgy at
the University of Birmingham (UK) in
1975, Dr. Bampton has specialized in advanced material development.
Over the last 39 years he has made significant contributions to the
aerospace industry while employed with major corporations including
Pratt and Whitney Rocketdyne (formerly Boeing-Rocketdyne) and
Rockwell International. His achievements are evidenced by the fact
that Dr. Bampton has been awarded approximately 15 patents and has
published over 38 peer reviewed technical articles. "During these
endeavors, Cliff also worked with and provided critical support for
several small maturing businesses and thus, is well suited to
contribute to Cal Nano," stated
Christopher Melnyk, CEO.
Dr. Bampton will receive 100,000 incentive stock
options at a price of $.075 CDN per
share as compensation for joining the Board. The options are
governed by the company's stock option plan approved at the last
annual meeting on October 18, 2013 and as such vest over three
years and are exercisable over a term of five years. All options
offered by the company are subject to TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V)
approval.
To meet the growing demand for Cal Nano's advanced powdered metallurgy
processes two additional production oriented staff have recently
been added to the team.
