Encanto Potash Corp. (« Encanto » ou la « Société »), la société de développement, d'extraction et d'exploitation minière de potasse inscrite à la Bourse de croissance TSX (TSX-V : EPO), est heureuse d’annoncer avoir obtenu un engagement pour une facilité de financement de 100 millions CAD. Dans le cadre de l’accord de financement signé le 15 septembre 2017 (l’« Accord »), GEM Investments America, LLC et GEM Global Yield LLC SCS s'engagent à investir jusqu’à 100 millions CAD au cours des trois prochaines années.

Les recettes seront utilisées pour commencer la phase de planification et de conception de la mine en prévision de la date de construction « prêts à démarrer » de septembre 2019. Dans le cadre d’un accord de coentreprise avec Muskowekwan Resources Ltd et Reginald Bellerose, chef de la Première Nation Muskowekwan, Encanto a obtenu les droits miniers et finalisé les études préliminaires. Dans l'intervalle, les recettes seront également utilisées pour l'achat et l'approvisionnement de potasse de tiers selon les termes d’un accord d'écoulement de potasse de 20 ans, portant sur 5 millions de tonnes métriques par an, exécuté le 30 décembre 2016 avec la National Federation of Farmers’ Procurement, Processing, and Retailing Cooperatives of India Ltd., (« NACOF ») enregistrée auprès du Ministère de l’agriculture du Gouvernement indien.

L'évaluation économique préliminaire datée du 24 mai 2017 et intitulée « NI 43-101 Technical Report on a Preliminary Economic Assessment and Preliminary Feasibility Study of the Muskowekwan Potash Project, South-Eastern Saskatchewan, Canada » résume une autre option de développement qui permettrait une extraction minière primaire et secondaire des ressources minérales pendant 48 ans avec un taux d'extraction annuel de 3,4 tonnes métriques de muriate de potasse. Le 30 décembre 2016, Encanto a signé un accord d'écoulement de 20 ans avec la National Federation of Farmers’ Procurement, Processing, and Retailing Cooperatives of India Ltd., (NACOF) enregistrée auprès du Ministère de l’agriculture du Gouvernement indien pour fournir 5 millions de tonnes métriques de potasse par an.
