Brookside Technology Holdings Corp.
("Brookside" or the "Company") (OTCBB: BKSD)
Standard Tel Networks subsidiary is pleased to announce
that it has secured a contract with
San Diego
Community College District (SDCCD), the
fourth largest community college district in the U.S.,
to implement new communications technologies for its three (3)
community colleges in the San Diego, CA area: San Diego City
College, San Diego Mesa College and Sand Diego Miramar College.
SDCCD looked to address numerous issues including obsolete phone
systems at each location, seven discontinued voicemail systems with
limited applications, no ability to connect with classroom phones
in the event of an emergency, and increasing operating costs for
outdated technology.
After fully understanding the prevailing issues and learning
more about the current and future needs of SDCCD's two-year
colleges and their students, STN was able to architect a platform
of MITEL (NASDAQ: MITL) networked systems to serve the nearly
100,000 students across the campuses.
"Standard Tel Networks, working with Mitel, was able to identify
each of SDCCD's pain-points and offer next-generation solutions
that positively impacts faculty, staff and students," commented STN
President, Mike Ferry. After several months of discovery and
collaboration, SDCCD will benefit from a multitude of applications
and features including, but not limited to "single image" system,
extension to extension dialing across their district, centralized
voice mail / unified messaging platform, and the added ability to
page individual campuses or the entire district, including over
10,000 cell phones, with reporting on deliverability of SMS and
email notifications.
"The voice messaging systems Standard Tel Networks is helping to
design and implement will provide a much-needed technological
solution to challenges that face many higher education
institutions," commented Kent Keyser, Director of Information
Technology for the school district. "The ability to quickly
communicate with classrooms, faculty, staff and students in the
event of an emergency is proactively addressing the need for
preparedness before an event occurs."
