Deutsche Boerse AG said Thursday that Chief Executive Theodor Weimer's total remuneration for 2022 more than doubled as he received a tranche of performance-related stock.

The German stock-exchange operator said Mr. Weimer's total remuneration rose to 11.5 million euros ($12.2 million) in 2022 compared with EUR5.6 million in 2021.

The significantly higher remuneration came at the end of the five-year period related to a tranche of performance-related shares worth EUR5.1 million, the company said. This is the first tranche of performance shares to be given to Mr. Weimer since he joined the executive board 2018, Deutsche Boerse said.

Chief Financial Officer Gregor Pottmeyer's remuneration rose to EUR4.9 million from EUR4.5 million a year prior, with the performance-related tranche of shares worth EUR2.2 million, the company said.
