French utility GDF Suez SA (GSZ.FR) Thursday said Phil Cox, the CEO of International Power, has joined its executive committee following the closing of the combination between GDF Suez Energy International activities and International Power on February 3.

MAIN FACTS:

- In addition, Suez Environnement decided to appoint as boardmember Penny Chalmers, currently Head of Strategy and Communications of International Power, to replace Dirk Beeuwsaert, non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of International Power, the company said in a statement. This appointment will be submitted to ratification of Suez Environnement's next shareholders' general meeting scheduled on May 17.
