Somatic Systems, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SMAS) is pleased to announce
they have opened a new Somatics center in San Angelo, Texas. The
first location anywhere in the state of Texas, this location is a
significant move to expand the presence of Clinical Somatics in the
middle of the country, where access to Somatics' innovative pain
management solution is limited.
The new location will serve as a satellite clinic to provide
Somatics treatments. Construction is also currently being completed
on a movement studio, which will enable Somatics Systems to offer
exercise classes as well. The powerful pain-relief and injury
prevention results of Clinical Somatics are attained through
hands-on treatment sessions as well as self-care exercises that can
be done using videos or attending group classes. Offering group
classes in Texas will provide a valuable format for exposing more
customers to the benefits of Somatics at a low cost, and to expand
awareness of Somatic Systems. The company's expansion plans are
based on the roll out of clinics that provide these exercise
classes as well as treatment sessions and retail self-help Somatics
products.
The clinic also operates as a strategic recruitment center for
Somatic System's professional training program, to expand
enrollment in this division (tuition for the professional training
is $12,000 per student). Additionally, the Texas center will serve
as one of the company's next campuses for the professional training
program. Currently, all trainings are held at the company's
headquarters in Northampton, MA. However, the company will begin a
series of professional training programs throughout the country
next year, as their national promotional efforts begin this fall
through increased television and other media coverage, to increase
access to the training but also expand awareness of Somatics to
health care professionals nationwide.
"We are excited to announce another milestone for Somatic
Systems' national expansion process," stated Somatic Systems CEO
Steven Aronstein. "Establishing remote training sites and retail
outlets is an important strategic move for enhancing our presence
among consumers and health care professionals. We are excited to
begin training in new locations to reach whole new markets next
year and beyond."
