NEW YORK, NY and LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2014) - AJ Greentech Holdings, Ltd. (OTCQB: AJGH), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of green energy, announced today that it will move forward on novel technology involving dye-sensitized solar cells. Scientific results were published in PNAS, the Proceedings for the National Academy of Sciences, a highly regarded journal in the scientific community. AJGH plans to further develop this technology as well as the construction of a new R&D facility.

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are a class of thin film solar cells. They have many advantages, such as low-cost, low-density, and an anode-electrolyte system that leads to favorable differential kinetics. There has been much development going on regarding these solar cells to improve their efficiency and mass-marketability. Our published article concluded that there is visible light generation by the iodine-bond oxidation of several novel ruthenium-based compounds and that the regeneration process of these cells could be enhanced.
