                   Archipelago Resources plc (the "Company")

                              Exercise of Options

Following receipt of notice of conversion and payment in respect of 300,000
employee share options at an exercise price of 20 pence per share, the Company
has made an application for the shares to be admitted to trading on AIM with
admission expected to take place on 1 August 2007. Following the issue of
shares, the total number of shares in issue will be 149,759,334.
