I don't have an issue with Elon.....yet. I think the guy sees the world on a different plane than the rest of us. I've known guys like him before and I really believe he views talking to us is equivalent to us talking to our dogs. However, I don't think he's necessarily out for the good of all mankind.
Trump fired General Haugh yesterday....Are there any advisors Trump will listen to?
BTW, Musk saving money for tax payers is a fine idea. There is no doubt there has been stupid government waste for years. I doubt anyone would deny this, but we also don't know the ramifications yet.
BTW, I think buying all electric is gonna come back and bite you. The last regime allowed the Russians and Chinese to buy up a lot of rare earth mines in the US.
Again, ramifications.

Heck, I even loved Elon before he joined the MAGA movement, my family owned 3 teslas, we sold them with a loss and bought a Rivian instead. I was all for cutting waste and fraud, but not that approach.

Can someone post the bottom in real time?

Someone asked me this at breakfast this morning.....
My answer was, "Yes, if you can tell me what Trump is going to say in advance"

I wasn't opposed to Trump during the election. I am today. He has cost me half a house over the last few days.

You could have thrown the symbols for all stocks into a hat, pulled one out and bought puts on it and make money right now.
Shorting interests me, puts not as much. They can expire worthless.

SMCI trading well below fair value so

long leaves folks wondering...

Goldman is aleged to have had puts

bot in a big way prior to their recent

down grade swing at SMCI...

Them taking profits on those puts now

doesn't add buying...

It is just how the biggies profit off market

turmoil that destroys company valuations...

Hopefully the chart does hold at these cheap

levels and don't go to super cheap...

Lot of jabbering to get to this point...

$36.09 is trading high that needs to be

topped on a daily basis to signal a possible

reversal is in play again...pretty simple...

There ya go ASSuming again....what makes you think anything you say would affect me one way or the other?

This should piss you off, not that you aren't already.

Actually though....

US to import millions of eggs from Turkey and South Korea to ease prices. The Trump administration is planning to import eggs from Turkey and South Korea and is in talks with other countries in hopes of easing all-time high prices for the American consumer, officials confirmed.Mar 21, 2025

But so what? Again, chickens are quickly replaceable.
I wonder what the tariffs are on incoming eggs?
I don't know why you even brought up chickens....or the egg?

Solution to high egg prices. 100% guaranteed to work. Ready?

Don't eat eggs. Nothing in eggs essential to good health and long life. Quite the contrary, commercial and social influence notwithstanding. GLTA!

AI Overview

The Trump administration nearly doubled egg imports from Brazil in an effort to combat rising prices and a domestic shortage caused by a bird flu outbreak.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Rising Egg Prices and Shortage:
Egg prices in the U.S. were soaring due to a severe shortage caused by a bird flu outbreak.
Increased Imports from Brazil:
The Trump administration responded by nearly doubling egg imports from Brazil, a country that previously only exported eggs for pet food.
Other Sources Considered:
The administration also explored other potential sources, including Turkey, South Korea, and the EU, to increase egg supply.

Here's more, and thanks for nothing.

Look at gas falling. How 'bout eggs?........

We had a cold winter which led to a rally in beaten down nat gas.

If tariffs we are charged will make OUR prices go up, what will happen to the prices in countries we impose tariffs on?

It takes BIG BALLS to do what President Trump is doing. Do you think the career politicians in Europe are going to let inflation rise on their watch?

Or will our tariffs not make their prices go up? If not, why?

This is going to settle out. The status quo lost last November.

SMCI has a much higher debt to equity ration than NVDA.
The shorted shares are rising fairly rapidly.
Looking with a broad lens SMCI looks to be in the better shape of the two, but the details speak differently.
I'm going to go on record at the moment as saying, "I haven't a clue where this one is headed based on today". Tomorrow may be different.

Jetmek_03052 Jetmek_03052 2 days ago
Yeah, I'd have to say that $100/share - while not out of the realm of possibility - is at the very least kind of "rosy". Last June, it got up to a little over $1k/share I believe. Then they had the 10 for 1 forward split in October. Now it's got 10X as many shares in the OS. It'll be more difficult to get up to that $100 level again.

Although, Yahoo has the OS at around 600M shares, correct? Compare that to NVDA's 24.4B and it doesn't seem like all that much. And Yahoo has the short share count on 3/14 at 115M or so. Some covering there would certainly cause a pretty good spike in share price, if some sort of good news was announced by SMCI.

I think minus all this market carnage, a share price of $50-$60 for SMCI is certainly possible. And will be easily attained if some sort of AI "breakthrough" is announced.

I know we've talked before on another board. I respect your opinion probably more than Sachs's. (Sachs has ulterior motives)
I bought this a couple of years ago, although I can't even tell you why. Wished I had bought a lot more (I think it was 1000 shares maybe?) around $37. Sold around $490, and along the way. Thought I was a genius. I then watched it run to $1000.
Anyway, your $50 range is a lot more realistic than the $100 some are predicting (I think).
FWIW, I bought back in at $66, then $46, then $39 so am underwater with new shares currently held, although I have flipped this a couple times.
My realistic view is that charts ALWAYS matter eventually. I still say it needs to get above $45 or so to tell us anything. I don't get emotional ...or try not to.

Well, "fight" might have been the wrong way to express the way I feel. It's obvious from the history of your posting that you like to express differing opinions. And that's fine. That's what these boards are for.

I see that Sachs just downgraded to a sell with a $32 target, and that Morgan just upgraded to a hold rating with a target of $45. The average analyst ratings are holds with a few buy and sell ratings thrown in.

I think that charting the support and resistance lines while in the market we are presently experiencing isn't worth much. The price of SMCI and others is being artificially driven by external factors. But that's just my opinion. I'll bet yours differs.

I think without this market driving prices, SMCI should certainly be near $50 or even over. I was fairly positive that SMCI would come out of their financial filing issues, with a new auditor. I bought in lower than the present price. I'd have to look up the exact date and price. Just over $27 a share. I'd like to double. But we'll see how it goes.

I am a retired technician, not rich by any means. I have a small position here, something I'm sure you'd laugh at.

I do wish you well. Have a nice day.

Fine, I'll go....what does "fine" mean in dollars to the shareholder value?....I KNOW the financials look FINE....but that's a rather vague term.
What is your 1 year price target?.....or where do you plan to sell?

So far, my opinions have been based off of the facts based on support and resistance lines......and the P/E. Nothing else.

I think the financials are fairly strong.

$5.5B net sales for the 2nd Quarter alone (over 50% growth YOY), $1.4B in cash, against $1.9B total debt.

Certainly not terrible.

But I imagine you'll have your own viewpoint. Seems to me like you've commented because you like to fight about things. So, let's see hear your opinion..

I can't see that there's much wrong with SMCI fundamentally. And they've just proved all the naysayers wrong, when they were supposed to wither up and die after E & Y dumped them and the financials were in in doubt.

This stock price is simply another victim of the current political landscape and being affected by investor jitters regarding tariffs and wars. It will be fine when all that is behind us.

Bottom line. Lightening doesn't hit the same place twice. Like GME, this stock having a great run doesn't mean there's any promises to do it again (as badly as people would like it to). This may now just be a decent quality growth stock.....or the money goes to the next big thing.

You must be thinking of Apple from 1999+/-to 2001. The dot com bubble. By 2005 Apple was on the way back up by multiples of the low. iPhone? I don’t think we’re in a tech bubble. Especially in this range. Artificial intelligence stuff is happening now and will explode. I don’t really get why or how but it’s going on now. Did you see where X was bought by xAI? There are things happening with these companies that few really understand. I know I don’t.

Everyone’s rending their garments worrying about tariffs as if that’s the only thing. Yes it’s causing turmoil and uncertainty. Eventually this will pass and folks will calm down. European car makers might decide not to charge American carmakers tariffs. Then the U.S. might reciprocate. I guarantee you right now there are negotiations happening. It doesn’t mean the market won’t crash because people fear it might.

We’ll see what happens. People need to stop watching Maria bartaromo and CNBC and Bloomberg News.

Apple had verified and solid financials back in 2005 from 75 to under 5 dollars in a few months when the market took a dump. Market doesn't like Trump Tariffs especially on foreign cars, 25% on foreign cars is ludicrous, what do you think the domestic car makers are going to do? Price gauging will start. This is not good for the economy. Place your bets on SPY puts market is going to get decimated.

If the financials are accurate, and it seems they are, and with tue revenue rolling in as expected, how is this not $30 to $50 undervalued at this moment? A buying op for sure. When, is the key. Wait for a bottom and load up, which nobody can predict, or just start buying small bits and wait for a trend change.

Markets are in turmoil and everyone and their second cousin are predicting doom and recession, and then seem surprised that consumer confidence is low. And then they scream that low consumer confidence is signaling recession!

Jeez.
