--Major League Baseball has made a bid for a group of regional sports networks being sold by The Walt Disney Co. (DIS), CNBC reported Friday, citing sources.

--Disney is selling the networks as part of a deal to acquire the movie studio and television assets of 21st Century Fox Inc. (FOX), the report said.

--21st Century Fox and News Corp, owner of Dow Jones, the publisher of this newswire, share common ownership.
