     Intec wins key mediation deal with leading Irish operator eircom



May 7th, 2003: Intec Telecom Systems, a global provider of operations support
systems (OSS) for the communications industry, today announced that it has
signed a deal for its convergent mediation solution, Inter-mediatE(TM), with
eircom, Ireland's leading provider of local, long distance and international
telecommunications services. Inter-mediatE was chosen for this key project after
a full competitive evaluation of mediation products.

Intec's Inter-mediatE solution is used by over 130 operators around the world
including PTTs such as Telecom Egypt and Telia Sweden, major US operators
including SBC, Verizon and BellSouth, and mobile operators such as Hutchison 3G
and US Cellular. Inter-mediatE can collect and process voice, IP and data
traffic from any network, delivering the highest quality of information to an
operator's downstream systems.  It offers full flexibility for users to
implement the business rules required to support any future billing or network
model. This gives eircom the ability to launch new products and services quickly
in full support of business and regulatory requirements.
