AGM STATEMENT
All resolutions before the Annual General Meeting of TT electronics plc
were duly passed.
Speaking at the meeting, John Newman, Executive Chairman of TT
electronics commented:
"Trading for the opening months of the current year is in line with
expectations. The outlook for our automotive division continues to
provide the board with confidence, while the telecom and computer
markets continue to be challenging. We continue to ensure that we
remain competitive through our advanced technologies and by further
enhancement of operating efficiencies. We are confident of the long
term potential for TT electronics in these markets."
"On 14 March, we announced the acquisition of Demo, a French
manufacturer of climate control units. Demo provides us with access to
the major French motor manufacturers and I am pleased to be able to
report that integration of this business within TT electronics is
progressing well. We have received two valuable orders since the
acquisition of the business. We continue to seek acquisitions which
bring either new technology or new markets to the group."
"Trading over the opening months of the current year, together with the
strength of our balance sheet, enables the directors to state that it is
their intention to maintain the interim dividend which will be paid in
October."
