Vodafone Hutchison Australia Completes A$3.0 Billion Refinancing

Vodafone Hutchison Australia said Wednesday it has refinanced
A$3.0 billion through a syndicated loan with 12 banks.
The three year finance replaces loans from the company's
shareholders.
"This external financing gives VHA a new capital structure and
facilitates our ability to pursue further growth options in the
Australian market," Chief Executive Nigel Dews said in a
statement.
The participating banks were ANZ, BNP Paribas, Commonwealth Bank
of Australia, National Australia Bank, Westpac, Banco Santander,
Bank of Scotland International, BBVA, HSBC, ING, Intesa Sanpaolo
and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp.
