Disney Shares Trading Higher Day After Streaming Service Debut

Shares of The Walt Disney Co. (DIS) are rising in Wednesday's
market, a day after the debut of the company's streaming service
and its announcement that over 10 million subscribers have signed
up for Disney+.
At 12:57 p.m. ET, Disney shares had gained 3.59% to trade at
$143.54. Volume was very heavy, with over 14.4 million shares
trading. The stock's 65-day average volume is some 8.2 million
shares.
The company said its new streaming service already has almost
three times the number of subscribers as ESPN+, which is also owned
by Disney.
