XKO announces that it was notified today by Secondwind Limited ("Secondwind")
that on 12 December 2003 Secondwind sold 1,130,000 ordinary shares of 25p each
in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to institutional investors. Following this
sale, Secondwind is interested in 1,685,390 Ordinary Shares, representing  6.1
per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
