The Company was advised today that on 20 January 2004 A E Collins, a Director of
the Company, acquired 3,000 Shares in the Company at a purchase price of #8.75
per Share.  These shares were acquired by way of exercise of a Share Option
under the M J Gleeson Group Executive Share Option Scheme 1997 and were
subsequently sold at a price of #11.30.  Mr Collins' previous and current Share
Holdings, including those held by Related Persons are as follows:
