ABB Ltd. (ABBN.EB) said on Thursday that it has received an
additional order for high-power electric vehicle chargers from
car-maker joint venture IONITY.
IONITY ordered 324 of ABB's 350 kilowatt high-power EV chargers,
which it will deploy across 24 countries by the end of 2020, ABB
said.
IONITY is a joint venture of car makers BMW AG (BMW.XE), Daimler
AG (DAI.XE), Ford Motor Co. (F) and Volkswagen AG (VOW.XE), set up
to build a European electric-vehicle charging network.
The Swiss engineering company didn't disclose financial details
of the deal, which follows a previous order of high-power chargers
in 2018.
