ZI MEDICAL PLC ("the Company")


ALLOTMENT OF SHARES



In addition to the allotment of shares announced earlier today, the Company
announces that at a board meeting held today a further 2,250,000 ordinary shares
of 2p each in the Company were allotted pursuant to a placing to new and
existing shareholders at a price of 4.5 pence per share.


It is anticipated that admission of these new ordinary shares to trading on AIM
will occur on 11 September 2003.
