Canaco Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CAN) ("Canaco" or the "Company") announces it
has received an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) certificate from the
Tanzanian government for the Company's 100-square kilometre Handeni property in
Tanzania, including the Magambazi project area. This achievement is the
culmination of a two-year process involving environmental studies, ministerial
reviews and public hearings.

Canaco President and CEO Andrew Lee Smith said: "Receipt of this EIA certificate
is the first step in the mine permitting process and a prerequisite for a
Tanzanian mining licence. This demonstrates the support the project has received
from government and local communities during public hearings. We appreciate the
diligence of the Minister of State and the National Environment Management
Council in completing this process."
