Airsprung Furniture Group PLC announces that it was today informed that Redbird
Holdings S.A. purchased 50,000 shares in the Company on 30 July 2003.


Following the above purchase, Redbird Holdings S.A. now holds 5,046,000 ordinary
shares in the Company, representing approximately 21.12 per cent. of the issued
ordinary share capital.
