Italy's Campari Agrees to Buy Maker of Grand Marnier

MILAN—Italian spirit maker Davide Campari SpA has agreed to buy
Socié té des Produits Marnier Lapostolle SA, the maker of the
liqueur Grand Marnier, in a deal valuing the company at €684
million ($758.90 million).
Campari will get round 20% of Marnier's shares immediately and
acquire a 28.8% stake held by the French company's controlling
family shareholders from 2021.
It also plans to file a public tender offer on all outstanding
Marnier's shares to take full control of the company.
