Portugal Seeks to Sell Remaining 4.1% Stake in EDP

LISBON--Portugal's government on Thursday launched an offer to
sell its remaining 4.1% stake in EDP-Energias de Portugal SA
(EDP.LB) to institutional investors.
The offering opened immediately and has as bookrunners Morgan
Stanley and Portugal's Caixa Geral de Depositos, the government
said in a statement.
Shares of EDP, which last exchanged hands at EUR2.422, have been
suspended from trading.
Based on that share price, the value of the government's stake
is of about 367 million euros ($493.9 million).
