Please note that on 19 January 2004, Interserve Plc (the "Company") was
notified that Aviva plc (and its subsidiary Morley Fund Management Limited),
were interested in 11,891,118 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company,
representing an aggregate total of 10.45% of the Company's issued share
capital.
