Annual General Meeting
Symphony Plastic Technologies plc ("Symphony" or "the Group"), the degradable
plastics company, is pleased to announce that at its Annual General Meeting
("AGM") held today, all resolutions were unanimously passed.
At the AGM Christopher Littmoden, Chairman of Symphony, made the following
statement:
"Since the AGM last year Symphony has made considerable progress. We have
signed up contracts with three leading UK supermarket chains, Somerfield, Kwik
Save and Co-Op, to manufacture and provide fully degradable plastic carrier
bags. We have continued to make strong headway in international markets, in
particular in the Caribbean, and we are now actively broadening the product
range and commercial applications of our degradable products."
"Since the year end we are delighted to have announced the appointment of
Collins Stewart as our Nominated Adviser and Broker and we successfully raised
new capital which has enabled us to strengthen the balance sheet and place the
Group in a strong position to take on a significant amount of new business. The
current financial year has started at a good pace and the number of excellent
business leads continues at record levels. The Board remains confident that
Symphony is now in a position to deliver considerable value to its customers as
well as its shareholders by providing a unique and highly sought after solution
to the problem of plastic waste."
